Had to check in early which wasn't a problem. The two staff were great - they speak English quite well, and were very patient with our very poor Japanese. Dinner + Breakfast is really good (but you do need to let them know you would like to have dinner when you are making your booking).

Krásné ubytování v ryokanu, milý a ochotný personál, vynikající snídaně a možnost odvozu z/na vlakové nádraží a do Snow monkey parku. Přístup do 9ti místních onsenů. Mohu rozhodně doporučit.

Hotel Fuki no Mori se nachází 20 minut hotelovou kyvadlovou dopravou od vlakového nádraží JR Nagiso. A beautiful luxury hotel set in forest outside Tsumago, with hotel shuttle bus access. Everything was perfect- from the warm welcome, being conducted to our room, shown the onsen and dining room, where breakfast and dinner were exceptional (in Keisei style and well worth the additional charge). It was a most relaxing stay after our Magome to Tsumago walk- 6 hours in drenching rain- but still very beautiful to be again on this marvellous walk.

A true ryokan experience with an exceptional food service. This heritage building is well-kept, dignified, and an absolute delight. There was no need to leave the building to have a satisfying bath—indoor or outdoor. I loved the private bath, and the overall tradition of the ryokan. The staff was so accommodating of our late check-in, took care to deliver our luggage to the station while we go to the Snow Monkey Park, and were attentive to our needs.

Oshi Ryokan se nachází pouhých 5 minut chůze od historické svatyně Togakushi a nabízí tradiční ubytování v klidné horské oblasti, která sloužila pro poutníky. The warm hospitality conveyed by Oshi san and wife, delicious and priceless home cooked meals and the serenity of the surroundings. its basically a quaint village up the mountainside. Even the soba shops in the area serve food from the heart - the quality and quantity of ingredients served is way different from the towns!

Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya se nachází pouhých 10 minut jízdy od parku Snow Monkey a nabízí jednoduché ubytování v japonském stylu s bezplatným Wi-Fi. We really enjoyed experience: Very friendly and helpful host, speaking English the excellent food at breakfast and dinner, variety of vegetable/fish and very nice presentation, excellent in quality and quantity, a joy for the eyes and the body. Nice interior of the room and hotel, quiet at night Onsen inside the hotel, by booking your time. This was fantastic as we could enjoy the experience as a private onsen, highly appreciated. Excellent location of the hotel inside the village Free parking on the premises of the hotel

Kadowakikan se nachází 3 minuty chůze od lyžařského střediska Nozawa Onsen a nabízí přímý přístup na sjezdovku, termální lázeň a bezplatné Wi-Fi. Mr. Kadowakikan was super friendly and helpful. He picked us up and dropped us off at the shuttle bus stop. He helped us order rental ski/snowboard equipment to the hotel. The hotel's own onsen was very clean and more comfortable than the town's free onsens.

Every member of staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome. As it is a small ryokan, it really felt like the service was personalised. The set dinner menu was absolutely delicious - many and varied courses, expertly prepared. On the day I left, I needed to get to the train station before the taxi company was open for business. One of the staff kindly drive me to the station.
